‘He’s making the whole team look different’: Robbie Mustoe hails ‘superb’ Christian Eriksen and his partnership with Bruno Fernandes as Manchester United sweep Arsenal 3-1 in heavyweight Premier League clash
- Christian Eriksen proved the orchestrator of United’s critical 3-1 win over Arsenal
- The Danish international set up Marcus Rashford’s second goal at Old Trafford
- United continued their hot streak, earning their fourth successive league victory
Christian Eriksen’s contribution to Manchester United’s 3-1 victory over Arsenal did not go unnoticed by NBC analyst, Robbie Mustoe.
The former Middlesbrough man was effusive in his praise for summer signing Eriksen after his starring role in United’s fourth straight win.
‘I mean, absolutely superb. Absolutely superb.’ Mustoe said reflecting upon Eriksen’s performance. ‘He’s making the whole team look different.
‘Eriksen’s difference in midfield, the ability to play forward passes, the ability to combine with Bruno who’s a player, and they get on the same wavelength…is game changing.

Christian Eriksen was phenomenal for Manchester United in their 3-1 home win over Arsenal
Eriksen supplied Bruno Fernandes, who gorgeously assisted Marcus Rashford’s first goal to put the home team up 2-1.
Eriksen followed it up with an assist for Rashford as United added a third to bury the north Londoners.
‘The quality of Christian Eriksen, particularly in midfield on a free transfer — we’ll talk about Antony and the goal and the 100 million dollars — [but] the connection between Eriksen and Bruno is something new, different and makes Manchester United better,’ fellow color commentator, Robbie Earle added.

Marcus Rashford limped off with an apparent hamstring injury after a second-half brace
Mustoe also reserved praise for the often under-duress. Rashford, who succumbed to a hamstring injury after a brace against the Gunners.
‘Marcus Rashford is starting to look a little more like the player we saw break onto the scene and be so exciting.’
The England international had 23 touches and was involved in all three goals, although he received criticism at the half for his apparent lack of touches, leading Earle to compare Rashford to the Premier League’s hottest striker.

Erik ten Hag has orchestrated an incredible renaissance at Old Trafford with four straight wins
‘On social media, the first half was about how many or how few touches Rashford had people were already saying oh you know it’s not Marcus Rashford,’ Earle said.
‘But if you get goals, Erling Haaland doesn’t have that many touches of the ball but he’s got 10 premier league goals.
‘He’s (Rashford) got to find goals and assists, and then all the criticism starts to go away.
