Inter Miami star Sergio Busquets has posted a heartfelt Happy Birthday message to his wife Elena Galera on her 33rd birthday.

Lionel Messi’s wife, Antonela Roccuzzo, has also sent her friend a birthday wish on social media – with the two reunited again in Miami after both their husbands moved to Major League Soccer.

Busquets wrote: ‘Happy birthday Elena. Here’s to many more together, I LOVE YOU and I thank you for always being there at all times and above all in this year of change, showing what you’re worth and who you are. How lucky we are to have you, we love you.’

The Messi and Busquets families became close friends when the soccer stars played together at Barcelona, in one of Europe’s most relentless winning teams.

Two years ago Messi was forced to leave his boyhood club due to its financial troubles and played for Paris Saint-Germain, while Busquets stayed.

But when their contracts expired at their respective teams this summer in Europe, they were reunited in the US.

And so far, on the soccer field, they have all had plenty to celebrate.

Miami lifted the Leagues Cup trophy last month, beating Nashville in the final on penalties.

The team played last on Sunday night, beating MLS Cup winner LAFC 3-1. Miami is yet to lose since Busquets and Messi joined.
