Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott is on the radar of a number of Premier League clubs including Wolves, talkSPORT understands.

The 22-year-old has publicly admitted he is considering his future having started only one Premier League game for the champions this season.

Liverpool are thought to value Elliott, who has been on their books since joining from Fulham as a 16-year-old, in excess of £40million.

With Manchester United target Matheus Cunha to be sold, Wolves are expected to back manager Vitor Pereira in the transfer market.

The Brazilian forward has a £62.5m release clause in his contract with United facing competition from Arsenal and Newcastle.

Elliott has played the fewest games of his Liverpool tenure this season since becoming a regular option under Jurgen Klopp in the 2022/23 campaign.

Of his 25 appearances in all competitions this season, 20 have been from the bench. He’s scored four goals and notched up two assists.

Even with limited playtime, Elliott has shone in crucial moments, providing an assist against Newcastle in the Carabao Cup final and netting a winning goal against Paris Saint-Germain in France.

However, in both instances, his team couldn’t capitalize on these contributions, as Newcastle went on to win the final 2-1 despite Elliott assisting Federico Chiesa’s goal, and PSG came back to win on penalties, eliminating the Reds from the Champions League.

Instead Liverpool focused on only their second league title of the Premier League era, with Elliott’s impact less remarkable with just one assist in 15 games.

In fact, 16 teammates have made more league appearances than him in their title-winning campaign.

Elliott began the season injured, and admitted that’s been a factor while not closing the door on a potential departure.

Despite his cup impact, Elliott hasn't been as useful in the league

Despite his cup impact, Elliott hasn’t been as useful in the league

“I think it’s been a lot more difficult for me because I obviously had that injury at the start,” he told the ECHO in April.

“But at the same time, you need to be here for the team, work as hard as you can and when the opportunities come on the pitch…

“A lot of times this season it’s almost been [coming on] when we’ve been losing or drawing, so it is about trying to change the game, try and turn it around and have a positive impact. But, you know, any minutes for Liverpool are amazing.”

The England Under-21 regular is a Liverpool fan, and was in Kyiv for their 2018 Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid.

He added: “I hope that I can push on. This is my team, I am committed to them and it’s just a situation that is always going to have a lot of talk.

“I just need to think about what is best for my future, my career and as much as I want it to be here you never know what is going to happen around the corner.

Liverpool star Harvey Elliott clarifies reason for celebration amid transfer speculation

“If I had it my way, that would be here, I would play each and every game here and stay here for the rest of my career but it all depends on managers, the people above and as I said you don’t know what could happen but as far as I am aware I am here, here to stay and this is the club I want to be at.

“Hopefully I am still here to be honest. It is the best place to be, the best club to be at and especially having the fans around us at the moment, I don’t think there is a better place to be playing.

“Players go through ups and downs but at the end of the day you have to come out fighting and I think it is within myself to make it happen. So hopefully I can stay here for the rest of my career.”
