An emotional tribute video featuring Marc Guehi has made its way online, despite the Crystal Palace captain’s anticipated £35 million transfer to Liverpool collapsing at the last moment.

The three-minute video, evidently created in preparation for his departure, showcases Guehi’s standout moments with the club in striking black-and-white imagery. It highlights his first goal, his call-up to the England squad, his leadership as Palace’s captain, and the celebration of last season’s FA Cup success.

The video concludes with Guehi’s heartfelt words: “I’m a south London boy. Grew up in south London. Captained the club from a young age. They’ve been fantastic for me and my family. Definitely a pleasure to play for this football club.”

Though Liverpool had submitted the necessary paperwork to extend the transfer deadline beyond 7 p.m., Crystal Palace ultimately withdrew from the deal, unable to secure a suitable replacement. As a result, Guehi will continue at Selhurst Park, entering the final year of his contract.
