Bayern Munich fans have called for Thomas Tuchel to be sacked following the club’s disappointing loss to Bayern Leverkusen on Saturday.

Xabi Alonso’s side put in a dominant performance at home to cement their place at the top of the Bundesliga table, sitting five points clear of Bayern Munich.

Pressure was on Tuchel before the match took place, with many believing that anything but a win could see his future at the club in doubt.

But, it appears the Bayern Munich fans were less understanding, given their side are on the verge of losing the 2023-2024 Bundesliga title.

They decided to head to the club’s training ground to make their feelings known – writing ‘Tuchel out’ on the sign outside the complex.

Fans continued to vent their frustrations on social media, with one supporter writing: ‘We’ve seen enough, time for Tuchel to get sacked’.

While another fan took to X [formerly known as Twitter] to write the following: ‘Sack Tuchel ASAP man, this is getting very embarrassing’.

One supporter said: ‘Tuchel reminds me of Mourinho. Defensive tactics. The win is a win. 2nd season teams start to degrade and he gets fired.

‘I don’t mind him finishing the season. I don’t mind us not winning anything. But he is alienating several key players and will cause them to leave.’

However, Bayern Munich CEO Dreesen has revealed that Tuchel remains safe in his job despite his side losing 3-0 to Bayer Leverkusen.

‘Nothing changes [in terms of Tuchel],’ Dressen told BILD after the game. ‘We knew beforehand that it would be a difficult game.’

Dreesen went on to add: ‘We would have liked a different result. We are concentrating on the next games.’

The former Chelsea boss reverted to the formation that he used at Stamford Bridge, setting up in a back three to match his opponents.

However, the decision backfired as the German has since been criticised for using a new system for the first time this season.

When asked about the tactical change, Dressen refused to comment.

He said: ‘I don’t want to speculate too much about the line-up. Leverkusen was simply better. We deserved to lose, we just have to accept that.

‘Luckily we still have 13 match days left and will hope for one or two mistakes from Leverkusen .’

Tuchel had previously slammed suggestions that he could be replaced by Stuttgart boss Sebastian Hoeness at the end of the season.

But with Bayern Munich underperforming in the league, the head coach could be under even more pressure come the end of the season.
