Under Armour has just launched the Magnetico Elite 5, catching everyone’s eye with its progressive design and promised performance enhancements.

Called ‘Digital Camo,’ this debut color scheme showcases a striking black-and-white pattern that feels more akin to science fiction than traditional soccer, echoing visual elements like QR codes, prototype drafts, and glitch art. It’s a daring statement from toe to heel.

Yet, the Magnetico 5 is not merely about looks. Under Armour has completely redesigned their control-centric range, creating a boot tailored for players who orchestrate the game under pressure—whether they are shielding the ball, delivering a key pass, or maneuvering past defenders.

The boot features a new auxetic upper – a foot-mapping material that flexes in response to pressure, wrapping the foot in a second-skin fit. Paired with targeted silicone strike zones for enhanced ball grip and a lightweight soleplate designed for explosive cuts, the Magnetico 5 puts control at the forefront of every movement.

The launch was revealed in a slick teaser video starring Real Madrid and Germany defender Antonio Rüdiger, who repeats the word “control” before booting the camera screen into darkness.

The final caption appears: “Control is everything.” That’s the boot’s core message – and its mission.

The Magnetico Elite 5 ‘Digital Camo’ is available now via Under Armour’s official online store and select global retailers.
