Conor McGregor has offered up a variety of reasons for why he has not married his ‘long-time lady’ and partner of 16 years Dee Devlin. 

The comments of the former UFC champion about his fiancée of five years and the mother of his four children come following the latest controversy involving the Irishman.

On Monday, rapper Azealia Banks shared alleged nude photos of McGregor, which she claimed he sent to her unprompted.

The former two-weight UFC champion, who is appealing that verdict, is accused of having choked the complainant and instilling fear for her life in a hotel room. He has not faced any criminal charges related to the incident and instead claims that they engaged in consensual sex.

The latest cheating scandal has put McGregor’s long-term relationship in the spotlight, with previous statements from the 37-year-old about marrying Devlin resurfacing.

Comments have resurfaced in the wake of rapper Azealia Banks accusing the UFC legend of sending alleged nudes to her unprompted

Speaking to MMA Fighting in 2015, he said: ‘I love to spoil her [Devlin]. She does not work anymore. I hired her for the business. She works for me now and collects the cheques.

‘Dee worked very hard throughout the years and stuck by me when I had essentially absolutely nothing. I only had a dream that I was telling her.

‘For me to be able to take her out of work, give her everything she’s ever wanted and to travel the world with her fills me with pride. It keeps me going. We’ve been together a long time. She’s been through it all with me.’ 

Two years later revealed that the ‘bloody bomb’ spent on the christening for one of their children had taken a sizeable dent out of the marriage budget. 

Last year, McGregor issued another update, which indicated that planning for a special ceremony was in the works. 

‘We are set to get married soon, we are just trying to find a location. I am ready to go; we are just trying to get a location,’ he told the Irish Mirror. 

‘Is it at home? I’d like for it to be at home. We are deciding on a location. Hopefully, we get the marriage done, and that is what I’m looking forward to.

‘These are the decisions we have. I go between do we want an extreme and extravagant. It will be extravagant and I will spare no cost for sure for my lady and my family but is it invite everyone or is it private, these are the things we are trying to figure out.

Last year a jury also found McGregor liable after he was accused in a civil case of sexually assaulting a woman in a hotel room back in December 2018

‘We are private people but we wouldn’t like to do it and think we should have done it a bit bigger. So we are in decision mode at moment, but let’s see, things are good. But that’s my lady all the way, the highs or lows before all of this.’

Earlier on Monday, Banks, who is known for getting into high-profile feuds on social media, posted two shocking photos seemingly of McGregor posing in the mirror while completely naked, which she alleges he sent to her via direct message on X despite not following him.

‘How you gonna send a b**** a some crooked d*** pics then threaten her not to tell,’ she wrote alongside the screenshots. ‘@TheNotoriousMMA n**** do you know who the f*** I am? This is HARAM’.

Banks then continued: ‘Like how are you really going to sexually harrass me with the potato farmer d*** then threaten me not to tell???? Honey…… ain’t u trying to be the president of Ireland what is it giving fam? Use some f***ing sunscreen damn’.

As well as the alleged nude selfies, the screenshots also show a message from what appears to be McGregor’s account reading: ‘Don’t be a rat cos all rats get caught’.

Alongside one image which seemingly shows his manhood strapped to a dumbbell, the Irish fighter apparently wrote: ‘Lifting weights’.

Banks then shared another screenshot of the alleged pictures suddenly being ‘hidden’ on X because she does not follow McGregor’s account. Although it is unclear if he had anything to do with that change, she commented: ‘The motherf***er woke up early LOL.’

Banks’ post followed the sight of a beaming McGregor all over the unknown woman during a beach day in Fortwife Lauderdale, Florida.

McGregor was spotted enjoying a cold beverage while the woman, who was dressed in a racy leopard print bikini, shared his sun lounger.

The pair chatted away in the shade as the sportsman cozied up to her by wrapping his arm around her back.
