Former Major League Baseball standout Aubrey Huff has sparked concern and conversation after a peculiar social media post about dating advice gained significant traction. Fans and followers are advising Huff to consider a CTE evaluation due to his unusual remarks.

The 48-year-old, who celebrated two World Series wins with the San Francisco Giants, shared his so-called romantic guidance on the platform X, aiming to enlighten his male audience with his dating philosophy.

Huff, now divorced, described his approach as effortlessly successful, likening it to “shooting fish in a barrel,” and confidently claimed a high success rate of “9 out of 10” times.

His strategy involved men boldly approaching a woman at a bar, standing by her side, and ordering a drink while maintaining unbroken eye contact until she looks away.

Huff elaborated on his tactic, instructing men to gaze intently and declare to the bartender, “And please, my good sir, get this enchanting lady whatever she’s drinking,” aiming to capture her attention.

He further advised introducing oneself with a “seductive & deep confident tone,” suggesting that this display of confidence would intrigue her and convey a man unafraid to pursue his desires.

He then claimed that they should make an ‘offhand remark which should make zero sense given the situation,’ insisting that it would pique the woman’s curiosity.

‘When the bartender delivers the drinks, ask him for a napkin & a pen,’ he continued. ‘While you’re writing your name & number on the napkin speak these words in your best James Bond impression which should be spoken seductively, slowly, calmly, mysteriously, & with a touch of cocky arrogance, “Nice to meet you sweet tits, & thank you for the drink, I’ll be sure to get the next one when you meet me later at the bar I’m headed to.”

‘Just slide the napkin to her, while graciously letting the bartender know to put your drink on her tab. Then simply walk away leaving the bar.’

Huff claimed people would be ‘amazed’ at how often the audacious tactic results in him getting a text ‘wondering which bar she should meet’ him at.

The move, given it essentially consisted of tricking an unwitting woman into buying him a drink, left people appalled on social media.

‘Nope. Let alone everything else you said, calling me sweet tits will next level anger me. What a worthless loser,’ one woman replied.

‘Don’t take this advice,’ one male user posted. ‘U will be much happier in ur life but being kind to people regardless of ur romantic situation. Don’t lose ur authenticity in the pursuit of women. Get checked for CTE Huff.’

‘I just puked in my mouth,’ wrote a third, while another claimed: ‘This isn’t the flex you think it is.’

Huff made headlines in January 2024 when he was exposed for allegedly DMing a Christian conservative influencer half his age on Christmas Day.

Isabella Maria DeLuca, then 23, shared the pictures of his alleged messages in response to Huff initially writing on X that ‘her sexuality is all she brings to the table’.

Huff apparently wrote: ‘Hey beautiful, let’s colab over cocktails and bad decisions.’

DeLuca wrote back to Huff’s now-deleted criticisms on X: ‘This man has the audacity to insult me but is a married father of 2 dming me on Christmas day.’

She continued: ‘I never responded – is that why I got unfollowed? Is that why you’re attacking me too? Because I didn’t want to make “bad decisions” with you on Christmas morning?’

Huff initially deleted his social media profiles before later returning to X to claim that ‘there’s no crime for a single dude DM’ing a broad.’

Huff got married to his ex-wife Barbara since 2007 before they divorced a decade later. They share two sons together.

During his baseball career, Huff won the World Series twice with the San Francisco Giants in 2010 and 2012.

While the height of his success was with the Giants, Huff stared his career with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays and also played for the Houston Astros, Baltimore Orioles and Detroit Tigers.

He announced his retirement from baseball in 2014. Away from the sport, Huff has courted controversy with his views about Covid-19, with Twitter once suspending his account for spreading misinformation.
