Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal will reportedly renew their interest in Bruno Fernandes after failing with a move for him in the winter window.

The Manchester United captain is the latest high-profile name to be targeted by the riches of the Middle East and made a move for the Portuguese in January.

According to Record in Portugal, an astronomical offer was presented to the 29-year-old by Al-Hilal to make a move to the club.

Yet, the rejection hasn’t deterred Al-Hilal and they could return to tempt Fernandes with another offer in the summer.

Fernandes would join a club who currently top the Saudi Pro League, seven points clear of Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr.

Jorge Jesus’ side already boast former Chelsea defender Kalidou Koulibaly, as well Aleksander Mitrovic, formally of Fulham, and Brazilian superstar Neymar.

Although they have failed to register the former Barcelona and PSG star, after he ruptured his Anterior cruciate ligament whilst on international duty.

Fernandes joined Manchester United in January 2020 and has played 215 times for the club, scoring 71 goals.

Last season he won his first major honour with the club as helped Erik ten Hag’s side beat Newcastle in the Carabao Cup Final.

At the beginning of the current campaign, the midfielder replaced Harry Maguire as the club’s new captain and still has the possibility of lifting a trophy for the Red Devils this season in the FA Cup.

Ten Hag’s side will face either Bristol City or Nottingham Forest in the fifth round of the competition, the last remaining opportunity for the club to bag some silverware.
