A woman in her 60s died after riding the Haunted Mansion ride at Disneyland in Anaheim on Monday evening, officials said.
The Anaheim Police Department confirmed in a statement to Fox News Digital that the incident happened at around 6:30 p.m. local time.
An officer reported that “Anaheim Fire & Rescue responded to an incident at the Disneyland Resort involving a woman in her 60s who became unresponsive after riding the Haunted Mansion.”
According to officials, Disneyland security staff administered CPR until paramedics arrived. The woman was subsequently taken to a nearby hospital, where she was declared deceased.

“In respect for the family, further details will remain private. This seems to be an unfortunate medical incident, and our heartfelt condolences are with the family,” stated the police.
A Disneyland representative confirmed to Fox News Digital that medical attention was needed for a guest, who was then hospitalized on Monday. Authorities stated there was no sign of any malfunction with the ride, which resumed operations shortly after the event.
Authorities also said the Orange County Sheriff-Coroner will determine her official cause of death.
