Floyd Roger Myers Jr., a former child actor known for his roles in “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” and “The Jacksons: An American Dream,” has passed away at the age of 42. According to his mother, Renee Trice, Myers succumbed to a heart attack on Wednesday morning at his residence in Maryland.

Trice revealed to TMZ, the outlet which first broke the news, that this was the latest in a series of heart attacks Myers had faced in recent years, with the most recent proving fatal.

Trice shared that she had spoken to her son just hours before his untimely passing. In a poignant Facebook post, she included a heartfelt photo of Myers with his children, expressing her grief with the words, “This is not supposed to be so.”

Myers leaves behind four children, marking a tragic end to a life once filled with early fame and family devotion.

In a Facebook post Wednesday, Trice shared a photo of her son with his children, writing, “This is not suppose to be so.”

Myers was a father of four.

He had suffered three previous heart attacks in the past three years, Trice told TMZ.

As a child actor, Myers gained recognition for portraying a young Will Smith in a 1992 episode of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Later that year, he starred as a young Marlon Jackson in The Jacksons: An American Dream, a popular television miniseries chronicling the Jackson family’s rise to fame. His last acting cred it was in an episode of The WB’s Young Americans in 2000, according to IMDB.

Outside of acting, Myers co-founded The Fellaship Mens Group, an organization that works to empower men to “lead, heal & thrive,” according to its Instagram page.

The group posted a photo of Myers and offered condolences to his family after news of his death became public.

“RIP to our good brother @rocwonder one of our co founders. Gone but never will be forgotten,” the post reads. “The mission will continue in your honor. Next mens meeting will be one for the books like we talked about! Love you bro, rest easy, big bro will take it from here.”

His sister, Tyree trice, launched an online fundraising campaign to help cover funeral expenses.

The campaign has raised just over $2,000 of its $30,000 goal as of Thursday morning.

The family remembered Myers as “a devoted father, loving brother, and friend whose kindness, laughter, and warmth touched everyone he met,” according to the fundraiser.

“Myers leaves behind his four beautiful children … and our loving family is now facing the unimaginable loss of someone who meant everything to us,” the post reads.

A funeral is scheduled for Nov. 3, according to the fundraising page.
