The Prince and Princess of Wales recently enjoyed a discreet getaway to Courchevel, a prestigious ski resort nestled in the French Alps, our sources confirm.

Last month, the royal duo was seen dining at an upscale mountainside restaurant, where even a simple ham and cheese toastie—enhanced with truffle—comes with a price tag of €85 (£74).

“They had a lovely time and were very polite,” a restaurant staff member shared with us.

Fellow patrons, upon recognizing the future King and his wife, snapped photos from a distance as the royals departed, dressed impeccably in their ski attire.

“I was thrilled to find myself dining in the same restaurant as Kate and William,” one enthusiastic diner remarked. “They looked absolutely charming in their beanie hats.”

Courchevel, often referred to as “the Saint Tropez of the slopes,” is famed for its Michelin-starred eateries, luxury boutiques, and a roster of celebrity visitors, including George Clooney and the Beckhams.

It is not clear whether the Waleses’ children, Prince George, 12, Prince Louis, seven, and Princess Charlotte, ten, joined their parents on the slopes last month.

William and Kate and their eldest children first visited the French Alps in 2016 and they have since jetted off to high-end resorts for a number of private holidays.

Early last year the family went skiing with members of the Princess’s family and were spotted at a mountaintop restaurant. ‘It was a Middleton knees-up,’ said a source at the time.

Mary’s not digging it

Lady Mary Charteris is furious that her holiday in the posh Kenyan resort of Lamu has gone pear-shaped – again. 

First she griped about make-up deliveries piling up outside her home while she’s away – and now she’s irked about building work ruining her break.

‘There is a site next to the hotel and a digger moving heavy rocks,’ says Mary, right. ‘I should have been warned. This is not what I paid good money for.’

A red carpet shot for the puparazzi

Irish actress Alison Oliver swapped her actor boyfriend Josh O’Connor for an adorable dog when she walked the red carpet last week.

Oliver, who stars as Isabella Linton in Emerald Fennell’s new adaptation of Wuthering Heights, clutched the paw of her co-star, Bubble, an orange Pomeranian, at the film’s premiere, left.

The pooch, who plays Isabella’s dog Fanny, was the star of the screening, with even Margot Robbie fussing over her.

I hope O’Connor – who played Prince Charles in The Crown – isn’t too jealous. He and Alison were first spotted together in Bologna, Italy, in November 2024.

At the premiere, Ms Oliver, 28, revealed her wig caught fire while filming one candlelit scene with Jacob Elordi. Talk about hot stuff!

No 1 with a mullet 

Model Cara Delevingne has been through numerous hairstyles, including a shaved head in 2018. 

Now she’s on to the next – the mullet. The socialite showed off her shaggy brown locks in the ‘business at the front, party at the back’ style on Instagram and was met with support from celeb friends. 

‘I love this on you,’ gushed actress Florence Pugh, as singer Paloma Faith chimed in with: ‘Love it.’

Go Batty for Scarlett

Rumours that Scarlett Johansson would appear in The Batman Part II have been swirling for months. 

And, at last, I can confirm they are true after my spies spotted the star, 41, filming at Warner Bros studios near Watford. 

Meanwhile, Zoe Kravitz – who was Catwoman opposite Robert Pattinson’s titular hero in the 2022 hit – has apparently not made the sequel’s team sheet.
