The MagicPad 4 introduces a shift in design with a slightly reduced screen size of 12.3 inches compared to the previous model’s 13.3 inches. However, this decrease in size is compensated by a significant upgrade to a 165Hz OLED display, replacing the earlier LCD. This enhancement promises a superior visual experience. Alongside the display change, the battery capacity has been adjusted to 10,100mAh, slightly less than its predecessor. Although Honor hasn’t provided specific battery life estimates, the efficiency of the OLED screen might extend its usage beyond last year’s model. With these changes, the MagicPad 4 also benefits from a lighter build, shedding approximately 145 grams compared to the MagicPad 3.

Under the hood, the tablet is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, offering configurations of either 12GB of RAM with 256GB of storage, or 16GB of RAM with 512GB of storage. It operates on MagicOS 10, an interface grounded in Android 16, ensuring a smooth user experience. Photography is handled by a 13MP rear camera and a 9MP front camera, catering to basic photographic needs. Nevertheless, the MagicPad 4 truly shines in its audio capabilities, boasting eight speakers that deliver a rich spatial audio experience. This feature could appeal to those who enjoy an immersive sound experience, though it’s worth considering the potential for noise disruption in public settings like flights.
