We still don’t know all that much about Pokémon Legends Z-A’s main storyline, but Nintendo is already hyping up a big expansion for the new game.
Nintendo’s latest hourlong Direct event showcased upcoming games and disclosed that Pokémon Legends Z-A will receive a paid DLC update, called Mega Dimension. This update is set to expand the story and will introduce two new mega evolved forms of Raichu. The promotional artwork hints that Hoopa, a mythical Pokémon known for opening portals to different dimensions, will play a part in the Mega Dimension storyline. While the exact release date of the DLC wasn’t provided, pre-orders are available today on the eShop.
Additionally, Nintendo announced that Pokémon Legends Z-A will feature new mega evolutions for Chesnaught, Delphox, and Greninja, the fully-evolved versions of the starter Pokémon from Pokémon X and Y. Previously, The Pokémon Company revealed new megas gradually through various promotional campaigns. However, with the release of Legends Z-A approaching in about a month, the company is accelerating its efforts to excite fans.
