Prepare for more Fallout. The popular Prime Video series will debut its second season in December, and according to Variety, the show has already been approved for a third season.

The storyline for the second season will “continue from the dramatic conclusion of Season One and take viewers on an adventure through the Mojave wasteland to the post-apocalyptic city of New Vegas,” as described by Variety. The season’s production concluded last week.

There’s no word on when the third season might premiere. Hopefully the early renewal means we’ll see it sooner rather than later.

The initial season was outstanding, and as my colleague Ash Parrish mentioned, it perfectly captured the postapocalyptic essence. I’m hoping the second season maintains the high quality of the first – I’ll be setting aside some time during the holidays to enjoy the new episodes.

The show has already gotten more than 100 million viewers worldwide, which makes the show rank “among Prime Video’s top three most-watched titles ever,” Amazon says.
