Fortnite players are able to hop into matches following a login issue that Epic Games described as preventing users from “getting in reliably.”

“This log-in outage is resolved; all players can now log in again across all platforms,” Epic stated at 8:54PM ET. “We’ll continue to monitor our services to ensure there are no other issues.” Epic initially reported the problem at 6:39PM ET, and indicated that most systems, except PlayStation, were back to normal by 8:02PM ET.

During the login issue, I couldn’t access the game on my Nintendo Switch 2. When I attempted to, the game displayed a message saying “unable to sign in to your account for online services” and advised to “please try again later.” I also noticed frustrated Twitch streamers who were trying to compete in a scheduled tournament, unable to log in or play games.

In additional updates, Epic mentioned that the login issue also impacted two other games, Rocket League and Fall Guys,” and that it was looking into login errors for titles utilizing Epic Online Services.

Update, August 14th: Epic says outage is resolved.
