Ikea has introduced the Kallsup, a charming and vibrant addition to their Bluetooth speaker lineup, priced at an affordable $10 in the US and €5 in Europe. These speakers offer seamless Bluetooth connectivity, allowing you to easily pair one with your phone and then, using just two buttons, connect another Kallsup to enhance your listening experience.

In theory, the Kallsup speakers can be linked up to an impressive 100 units. At CES, where Ikea is making its inaugural appearance this year, the team has managed to connect up to 40 in their office. This sets an exciting challenge for tech enthusiasts!

Crafted by Swedish designer Ola Wihlborg, who frequently collaborates with Ikea, the speaker boasts a compact and portable design, measuring a mere 2.75 x 2.75 x 3 inches. It features small legs for stability, a speaker grill on the side, and buttons for pairing and play/pause conveniently located on top.

The Kallsup comes in a variety of colors including white, dark pink, and lime green. Charging is done via USB-C, and Ikea notes that the battery can be replaced when needed.

During a hands-on session with nine Kallsup speakers at Ikea’s suite, I was amazed by the robust sound quality emanating from such a small device.

To link additional speakers, I simply pressed the Bluetooth button on each new unit to power it on, listened for the start-up sound, and held the play button until the music began to flow seamlessly through all the devices.

It took only a couple of seconds per speaker, and once all nine were connected, the hotel suite got impressively loud.

It would be fun to scatter a bunch of these around a room — or even a garden, though they’re not waterproof — for a pop of color and plenty of sound. The Kallsup uses Bluetooth 5.3 and will be available in stores in April 2026.
