Logitech has revealed a new keyboard case for iPad Pro and iPad Air models that allows for flexible keyboard placement, as it can be detached and positioned as needed. This isn’t a brand new concept for Logitech — their Combo Touch case also features a detachable keyboard. However, the Flip Folio’s keyboard is notably more compact, offering greater adaptability in terms of usage locations.
The pricing for the Flip Folio is set at $179.99 for compatibility with 13-inch iPad Air and iPad Pro models, and $159.99 for a slightly smaller version suitable for the 11-inch models. Availability varies based on color choice: a graphite model will be launched globally in June 2025, along with a black version exclusive to North America. A pale grey and lilac variant will be offered later in September 2025 “in select regions,” and a sand version will also be exclusive to North America.
Both the larger and smaller wireless keyboards are just over a quarter of an inch thick and weigh under 207 grams. They are designed to attach magnetically to the Flip Folio case’s back without significant added thickness. The keyboard includes dedicated iPadOS shortcut keys and supports multi-device Bluetooth pairing, facilitating easy switching between use with a tablet, smartphone, or computer.
Battery life is estimated to be up to two years, but that will depend on how frequently you’re using the keyboard. When it dies, you’ll need to replace its coin cell battery, because the keyboard doesn’t feature a rechargeable battery or even a USB port for connecting it to a device with a cable. It’s wireless all the way.
The Flip Folio case itself offers front and back protection for your iPad. Since it connects to the tablet magnetically, you can position the iPad in either landscape or portrait orientations when using it as a multi-angle support stand. With the iPad supported vertically, the Flip Folio has a bit of extra room for supporting a smartphone, too, letting you position them side by side and expand your multitasking.
