MADONNA has just revealed her very risqué NFT collection and it’s not for the faint hearted.
The collection of digital artwork involves a 3D scan of the 63-year-old singer’s vagina and depictions of her giving birth to trees, butterflies and centipedes.
NFTs, or non-fungible tokens, are becoming increasingly popular and they’re similar to cryptocurrencies.
An NFT provides something a bit different as it digitizes a piece of work such as art or music and turns it into a non-fungible token that is stored on blockchain.
Once you buy a NFT it becomes your own artwork and cannot be replicated.
Madonna has teamed up with digital artist Beeple to jump on the NFT bandwagon and create three digitally animated pieces.
Beeple’s real name is Michael Joseph Winkelmann and Madonna refers to him as Mike.
Madonna has become known for posting raunchy photos on social media but the digital videos take this to a whole new level.
NFTs can sell for millions of dollars and Madonna’s will be sold so the proceeds can go to charities of her choosing.
The collection as a whole is called the Mother of Creation, which is in keeping with the graphic video of Madonna giving birth to trees.
That event occurs in the NFT called Mother of Nature, which shows a naked digital version of the singer with her legs spread open on a table.
She then gives birth to a huge tree.
Another of Madonna’s NFTs is called Mother of Evolution and it depicts her naked again but on top of a truck.
This time butterflies are seen flying from her vagina.
The third animated video is called Mother of Technology and this is the one featuring the digital centipedes crawling out of Madonna’s private parts.
Each NFT can be viewed on a special website.
It states: “These 3 NFTS are a labor of love a year in the making, as both artists partnered to connect to the idea of creation and motherhood through these visualizations.”
Madonna said: “When Mike and I decided to collaborate on this project a year ago, I was excited to have the opportunity to share my vision of the world as a mother and an artist with Mike’s own unique point of view.
“It’s been an amazing journey building this together from an intellectual idea to an emotional story, giving birth to art.
“I wanted to investigate the concept of creation, not only the way a child enters the world through a woman’s vagina, but also the way an artist gives birth to creativity.
“Most importantly we wanted to use this opportunity to benefit mothers and children who are most in need right now.”
Bidding on Madonna’s NFT auction starts May 11.
