Razer’s high-performance Blade 18, a gaming desktop alternative, is hitting the market with an unexpected price rise from its initially stated price of $3,199.99. The company has discreetly bumped up the base model’s price, which includes an RTX 5070 Ti graphics card, to $3,499.99 — marking a $300 increase since its introduction at CES earlier this year.
The Blade 18’s premium RTX 5090 graphics version is also experiencing a substantial $400 price climb, now set at $4,899.99 instead of $4,499.99. Razer has also introduced a new RTX 5080 model starting at $4,099.99. When questioned about the price boost of the Blade 18, Razer has yet to provide any comments at the time of reporting.
Back in April, Razer briefly stopped direct laptop sales just before tariffs were announced by President Donald Trump’s administration. These tariffs would elevate the cost of technology from countries such as China and Taiwan, which are key suppliers of laptop components. During that period, Razer’s public relations manager, Andy Johnston, informed The Verge that Razer had no statement to make regarding the tariffs. Sales were resumed more than a week later, including the newly launched Blade 16 laptop.
You can order the new Blade 18 on Razer’s website now, with deliveries starting June 2nd, even for a maxed-out configuration that features 4TB storage and 64GB RAM for $5,199.99 (RazerCare warranty not included).
