Ultrahuman is broadening its health tech portfolio by introducing a top-tier smart ring and enhancing its “biointelligence AI” platform. Named the Ring Pro, this third-generation smart ring boasts an impressive battery life of up to 15 days before needing a recharge, along with the capacity to store health data for 250 days directly on the device.

These features mark a substantial upgrade from its predecessor, the 2023 Ring Air, which users report offers a battery life of 4-6 days and only a few days of offline data storage. The Ring Pro also includes several enhancements, such as a revamped heart-rate sensor for improved sleep and recovery monitoring, a speedier dual-core processor, and safety features designed for easier removal in emergencies.

Accompanying the Ring Pro is the new Pro Charging case, which provides an additional 45 days of power and can store up to a year’s worth of data. This case is equipped with a built-in speaker and proximity tracker, enabling users to locate the ring via the Ultrahuman app. It also supports wireless charging and has an LED indicator for battery status.

The Ring Pro is available in an array of colors—gold, silver, black, and titanium—and comes in sizes ranging from 5 to 14. Preorders are now open at a price of $479, with global availability, except in the United States, where Ultrahuman faces patent challenges from competitor Oura. Shipments are scheduled to commence in March.

Meanwhile, the release of Jade, the latest upgrade to Ultrahuman’s AI platform, is not affected by these patent issues and will be accessible to all Ultrahuman users worldwide. Marketed as “the world’s first real-time biointelligence AI,” Jade can derive health insights and manage tasks like breathwork and atrial fibrillation (AFIB) detection. Future updates are expected to expand its capabilities significantly, potentially allowing it to predict health issues, manage smart home devices, and even place food orders.

Ultrahuman envisions Jade as an “autonomous health agent” that continuously works to enhance users’ lives, although the timeline for these additional functionalities remains unspecified.
