IF you own a Ring doorbell and an Alexa speaker you could be missing out on a great trick.
And it means you won’t have to buy a Ring chime accessory too.

1
Because Amazon owns both Ring and Alexa the two have some unique features between them.
One really useful advantage is the ability to turn your Alexa speaker into your doorbell chime.
It’ll work with any Alexa-enabled device, so a ring noise will come from it whenever someone is at the front door.
To do it, you’ll first need to link your Ring kit up with Alexa.

You can do this by adding the Ring skill.
Open the Alexa app on your smartphone and tap the three line menu icon.
Go to Skills & Games.

Search for Ring and tap Enable Skill and Link Accounts.
It’ll ask you to sign into your Ring account so that the two can be paired.
Once that’s done, you’ll have to go to Discover Devices.
When it’s added, you should find your Ring doorbell under the Devices section.
Tap All Devices.
Select your doorbell and finally hit Doorbell Press.
Now you’ll get a chime noise from your Alexa speaker the next time there’s someone at the door.
