Samsung isn’t hiding what’s in store: it’s clearly the Galaxy S25 Edge. In the blog, the device is explicitly named, and it’s noted for “setting a new benchmark for smartphone capabilities” while heralding a “new era of growth for the mobile industry.” This is promising news for an industry facing declining sales in recent years. The blog also mentions that despite its thin design, the S25 Edge will feature a 200-megapixel main camera, similar to the high-end Galaxy S25 Ultra.

This implies that the S25 Edge is likely to be more of a high-end device compared to Apple’s speculated thin phone. The rumored iPhone 17 Air might feature a single rear camera and a blend of premium and basic components. Samsung states that the S25 Edge will combine “flagship-level performance with superior portability.”

So what does a flagship-level slim phone that’s supposedly going to set the ailing mobile industry on fire cost? And where will it be sold? Recent rumors pointed to a delayed US launch. It wouldn’t be too surprising to see the phone launch first in Korea, though the fact that Samsung US is offering a $50 credit to those who reserve the phone now bodes well for us.
