You can save $30 on Sony’s DualSense Edge controller by buying refurbished

If you’re a PlayStation 5 enthusiast seeking an upgrade from the standard DualSense controller, the DualSense Edge might be exactly what you need. Previously priced at $199, this versatile controller is now available on the PlayStation Direct store in refurbished condition for $169, saving you $30. It includes a full one-year warranty, similar to a brand-new model, but may have slight cosmetic marks.

What sets the DualSense Edge apart is its extensive customization options compared to the regular Sony controller. You can toggle control schemes mid-game, remap rear paddles, and replace joysticks if needed. Additionally, it features adjustable switches for trigger stopping points, offering either a full pull or a clicky short pull. The controller also allows you to modify joystick deadzone and sensitivity for a tailored gaming experience.

Beyond its compatibility with the PS5, the DualSense Edge also works seamlessly with Windows, and several PlayStation Studios PC games support its unique features. The only notable drawback is its battery life, which, at eight hours, falls short of the standard DualSense by a couple of hours. Nevertheless, as long as you remember to recharge it every few days, this shouldn’t be a significant issue.
