President Donald Trump’s much-discussed “Big Beautiful Bill” is distributing significant tax cuts, and a fresh analysis from Senator Elizabeth Warren’s (D-MA) office sheds light on the magnitude of these financial windfalls. According to the findings, Alphabet, Google’s parent company, is expected to save approximately $17.9 billion in taxes this year. Warren’s team highlights that this sum could have funded the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits for 7.5 million Americans.

The tax savings don’t stop there. Warren’s analysis suggests that this amount could also support Medicaid coverage for about 2.3 million adults or 5.4 million children. Similarly, Amazon is projected to receive a sizable tax cut of around $15.7 billion, which could alternatively provide SNAP benefits for 6.6 million people or Medicaid for 2 million adults. Meanwhile, Microsoft’s forecasted $12.5 billion tax reduction in 2026 could potentially lower Affordable Care Act (ACA) premiums for 1.9 million individuals.

In a statement to The Verge, Senator Warren expressed her concerns, stating, “Donald Trump and Republicans in Congress are stripping millions of Americans of their health insurance and removing food assistance from families to finance massive tax breaks for billionaires and large corporations.” She continued, “This is about priorities: while Trump and Republicans champion the interests of their wealthy allies, Democrats are advocating for American families.”
