Regardless of its location, former President Donald Trump is set to have his White House ballroom, even if it ends up being situated a thousand miles from the nation’s capital.
Eric Trump revealed to the Daily Mail during an informal chat with journalists on Monday that the Trump presidential library planned for Miami will feature a replica of the ballroom, alongside numerous other highlights.
Eric, accompanied by his wife Lara and their children, eight-year-old Luke and six-year-old Carolina, attended the annual White House Easter Egg Roll on the South Lawn that morning.
“A large replica of the ballroom inside,” Eric described, emphasizing that it will mirror the intricate details of the original space.
Eric shared this information with the media near the construction site, where towering cranes are currently at work on the ballroom, which remains embroiled in legal challenges.
Just last week, the former President released a promotional video showcasing concepts for his future Trump presidential library, which included glimpses of the ballroom and a depiction of a 747 Air Force One within the tower’s grand lobby.
The library is expected to be built on a plot of land in downtown Miami, and be a skyscraper, the first of its kind.
‘It’s going to be a great statement,’ Eric said. ‘It’s gonna be the tallest building in Miami – by far the best location. That piece of land is incredible. It’s going to be fun.’

Trump’s second-born son said the library would include a recreation of the gilded Oval Office and the West Colonnade – dubbed the ‘Presidential Walk of Fame’ – where the President has hung portraits of his predecessors, among them one signed by autopen.
Eric, who took over management of the Trump Organization alongside his older brother Donald Trump Jr., is overseeing the project.
‘It’s amazing when you can bring your two worlds together,’ he said. ‘We do the high-rise game better than anyone in history. That’s what he’s always known for. We talked about the library and I said, “Listen, I want to take it on.”‘
He pledged the library will be delivered on time, under budget and better-looking than Barack Obama’s avant-garde structure, due to open soon in Chicago.
‘This could be very different from Obama’s – neither on time nor on budget. And it’s horribly ugly. It literally looks like a prison,’ Eric scoffed. ‘This is not going to win architectural awards, that much I can tell you.’
An Obama spokesperson did not immediately respond to the Daily Mail’s request for comment.
The library will also feature a gold escalator – a nod to the one Trump famously rode down when he launched his presidential campaign in June 2015 – and, according to an AI-generated video shared by Eric and his father last week, a large gold statue in the auditorium.
‘His entire legacy was some of the sexiest buildings anywhere on Earth,’ Eric said.

He called it ‘hugely ironic’ that the skyscraper would rise in Florida rather than the President’s native New York – a state Trump made his legal home during his first term, relocating to Mar-a-Lago as its political climate better matched his own.
‘Ten years ago, I would have said we’d be building on Fifth Avenue,’ Eric said.
Last week a federal judge ordered the White House ballroom project to be stopped, except for construction needed for national security matters, as a National Trust For Historic Preservation lawsuit makes its way through court.
The Trump administration has already appealed and another emergency motion was filed on Friday arguing that construction must continue citing national security concerns.
At the same time, the National Capital Planning Commission, an oversight body filled with Trump appointees, approved the ballroom project in its current iteration on Thursday.
The National Trust for Historic Preservation is arguing that the ballroom project must be approved by Congress before it can proceed.
