The January transfer window is just over a month away and a number of Premier League clubs look set to be busy this winter as they hope to either strengthen already solid platforms or address key issues.
Arsenal are among the clubs looking to do business, with Mikel Arteta reportedly planning to overhaul his midfield in January and test Aston Villa’s resolve with a bid for Douglas Luiz.
Meanwhile, Chelsea have told Mauricio Pochettino he must sell if he wants to buy in January and Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou could be reunited with one of his former Celtic players.

Arsenal are considering selling Thomas Partey in January as Mikel Arteta looks to raise funds to overhaul his midfield options. The Ghanaian has been plagued by injuries this season and won’t return until January after undergoing surgery to address a thigh problem. (ESPN)
Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz is Arsenal’s main target for their midfield reshuffle in January. The Brazilian has been a key figure of Unai Emery’s side this season, starting all 13 Premier League games. Tottenham are looking to sign former Celtic winger Jota on loan in the January window
