Gloudon, a Trinidadian, is a former performer, former president of the orchid society in town, and a long-time member of Andrews Memorial SDA Church.
Murray told The Gleaner that his death came as a shock to him and that he is still grieving. Adrian Johnson, the head pastor of Andrews Memorial SDA, praised Gloudon as “a father amongst us.”
He was also a dedicated Seventh-day Adventist and a long-time musician at Andrews Memorial Church. He was also lauded for his role as a mentor to many people.

Ancile is now survived by his wife, Barbara. Barbara and Ancile were also parents to their three children, two daughters named Lisa and Anya and a son named Jason.
Barbara’s husband was a committed pianist who never missed a chance to play at night services and would occasionally wear the hats of Sabbath school instructor and preacher.
Gloudon moved to Kingston permanently after being unable to find work in Trinidad, where he worked as a chemistry teacher at Wolmer’s Boys’ School.
