Police have launched an investigation after a man arrested on suspicion of a stabbing in Manchester died, while his victim remains in hospital.
Officers were called to Park Lane in Leigh just after 9pm last night following reports of a knifing and found an injured man.
He was taken to hospital with serious injuries, while the suspect made off from the scene following the attack.
Officers quickly managed to snare him, though a short time later, the suspect became ‘seriously unwell’, a police statement said.
A spokesman added: ‘Despite best efforts of officers and emergency services at the scene, the male sadly died.
