Does Deborah James Have Colon Cancer Illness? Health Problems And Sickness Update

Deborah James, a BBC podcast broadcaster, announced on Monday that she has stopped active treatment for stage four colon cancer and is now receiving hospice care.

Deborah James is a BBC podcaster and writer. Deborah James, a well-known newscaster, has been through a lot in the last five years.

Deborah was diagnosed with stage 3 bowel cancer and battled it for a long time, but life has dealt her another blow.

She is a tough lady who has recovered, and James has provided an update on her health.

Does Deborah James Have Colon Cancer Illness?

Yes, she does. Deborah James has been lauded as an “inspiration” after speaking out on Lorraine about her battle with terminal colon cancer.

After spending ‘approximately 80% of this year in hospital,’ the BBC podcast host, 40, stated on this morning’s show that she ‘doesn’t really know’ how she is alive and that her ‘body is fatigued.’

Deborah, who resides in London, has been battling stage four bowel cancer since December 2016 and was warned early on that she wouldn’t last more than five years – a mark she reached in the autumn of 2021.

She spent a month in the Royal Marsden Hospital with sepsis, and the TV interview was taped there last month as part of ITV’s ‘No Butts’ campaign.

James, a mother of two, talked of how she felt ‘fragile’ after a horrific episode in January when she ‘thought she wouldn’t make it through the night’ due to a varicose vein hemorrhage.

Health Problems And Sickness: What Happened To Deborah James?

‘Nobody knows how long she has left,’ Deborah James wrote in an earlier Instagram post, adding, ‘The message I never wanted to write.’ We’ve tried everything, but my body just won’t cooperate.

‘To be honest, I don’t know how I’m alive,’ she admitted. ‘This year has been absolutely insane. I’ve spent around 80% of this year in some manner in the hospital. I had a varicose bleed in January, which was a terrifying event. That was my conclusion.

‘It’s only now that I can speak about it without crying.’ I went from living to worrying I wouldn’t make it through the night in a flash. None of my relatives did. ‘My body feels exhausted.’

Viewers were quick to compliment Deborah on social media, with several expressing their admiration for her positive attitude in the face of her illness, with one calling her “one of life’s heroes.”

‘I’m already sobbing because @bowelbabe is such an incredible woman. One of life’s heroes, such an inspiration. One viewer remarked, “Sending so much love to you and your family.”
