    First Lady Susanne Shore is the adoring wife of Pete Ricketts, the 40th governor of Nebraska, who has been in office since 2015. Pete belongs to the Republican Party.

    Susanne Shore is the wife of John Peter Ricketts, also known as Pete Ricketts, an American politician and businessman. Since 2015, Pete has served as Nebraska’s 40th governor.

    Pete is the son of Joe Ricketts, founder of T.D. Ameritrade. He is also a part of Major League Baseball’s Chicago Cubs. In 2006, he ran for the U.S. Senate against incumbent Ben Nelson, an American attorney, losing 64% to 36%.

    Later he ran for the Nebraska governorship in 2014. The politician narrowly won a six-way Republican primary and defeated Chuck Hassebrook, Democratic Party nominee, 57% to 39%.

    Susanne Shore became the first lady of Nebraska when her dear husband, Governor Pete Ricketts, was sworn in as governor on January 8, 2015.

    Shore attended Oklahoma State University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in English and a master’s degree in business. She further holds a nursing degree from Creighton University.

     

     

    Before staying at home full-time to raise her family, Susanne served as a nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital. She is a committed advocate for child welfare.

    Over the years, the first lady has served on the board of the Child Saving Institue, including two years as chair and, most recently, the Nebraska Families Collaborative.

    The first lady has also actively volunteered as a court-appointed special advocate for at-risk children with Douglas County CASA. 

     

    Susanne Shore – Pete Ricketts Wife Family And Children

    Susanne Shore and her husband Pete Ricketts got married in 1997 in Omaha. The couple has three teenage children together from their marriage, Roscoe and Margot, who are twins, and Eleanor.

    The first lady is a native of Garden City, Kansas, and grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma. During her marriage to Pete, Susanne worked as a nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Omaha.

    Regarding the Governor of Nebraska, Pete was born in Nebraska City on August 19, 1964, the oldest of his parents’ four children, Joe Ricketts and Marlene Ricketts.

    Pete then moved to Omaha with the family. Pete and his siblings, Laura, Tom, and Todd, all were enrolled at Westside High School, from which Pete graduated in 1982.

    Later he joined the University of Chicago, earning a B.A. in biology in 1986 and an MBA in marketing and finance in 1991. He returned to Omaha after completing graduate school.

    The first lady of Nebraska, Susanne Shore, must have an impressive net worth and is living a blissful life alongside her husband, Governor Pete Ricketts and three children.

    Susanne served as a nurse before deciding to stay at home full-time, raising her family. She has also been actively associated with Child Saving Institue and the Nebraska Families Collaborative.

     

     

    Talking about her husband, Pete, he stated his net worth at $45 million and $50 million back in a 2006 report. After returning to Omaha, Pete worked for the Union Pacific Railroad for a year.

    In 1993, he started to work for his father’s business. He was subsequently appointed to several executive posts, ultimately becoming the company’s chief operating officer during his father’s tenure as CEO.

    Later in 2006, Pete left Ameritrade to run for the U.S. Senate, and after his loss, he returned to the company’s board, remaining until the Ricketts family relinquished its board seats in the year 2016.
