Kevin Smith recently revealed the reason for his weight loss. Back in 2018, he had a heart attack. According to his post on Instagram, he suffered a “100% blockage of [his] LAD artery (also known as ‘the Widow-Maker’ because when it goes, you’re a goner).”
As this could have gone worst, this surprisingly changed the actor’s life for the better. Ever since he had a heart attack, he has had an urge to shape up and live a long, healthier life for himself and his family.
In the first six months, he dropped 50 plus pounds, and again recently, he revealed that he lost 25 pounds-noting that this time he lost the weight in a single month.

Also, he has incorporated intermittent fasting into his daily routine; he does not eat breakfast and breaks his fast at about 1 or 2 p.m. and he does not eat after 8 o’clock at night.
