Jack tells Andy that nothing that happened was her fault.
Joshua answers the door to Jack and Andy. After an awkward introduction, Josh takes them around back because his family is loud and inside. Jack’s brother explains that he is in finance. Josh talks about his two kids and one on the way. He also tells Jack about his great house growing up and little league baseball. Since Romy Rosemont’s character died in Big Sky, she jumped over to another Thursday night show. In Station 19 Season 5 Episode 17, Rosemont is the mother of a transgender teen. Vic and Theo respond to a domestic disturbance between the father, Brian (Ben Bode), and mother, Jane (Rosemont), of a teen, Matt (Hollidae Livingston). The mother explains that her ex-husband, Brian, came and kidnapped their teen, and now she has tracked them down. Although Rosemont’s character calls the teen, Mary, he tells his mother that his name is Matt, not Mary.
“He told us who he was a few years ago and Jane just freaked out and signed him up for a beauty pagent,” Brian explains to Vic and Theo.
Then Matt explains that his mother never understood him. He always felt like a boy and he’s afraid that if he goes back with his mother he will never get gender affirming care. The social worker (Ritesh Rajan) informs everyone that they have granted Brian full custody, but Jane and her boyfriend or husband grabs Matt and shoves him in their truck. The officers stop the truck and arrest them. Theo tells the boy and his father that they might want to consider relocating and changing their number. He speaks from experience about a friend from school, Angel. His parents caught him making out with a boy and couldn’t accept him so they kicked him out.
