Daniel Lucas Oxford sadly passed away on November 27, 2022, following a protracted struggle with stage 4 cancer. On Sunday, he passed away quietly at home in the company of his loved ones. Jeffree Star announced Daniel Lucas’s passing on his social media platforms.
Jeffree Star wrote a statement on his passing, saying,
I’m shocked that my best buddy has passed away. Daniel and I had a wonderful friendship that lasted for over 20 years. He lost his life on Saturday night after a protracted fight with stage 4 cancer.
I’ll never forget the first time we met; at the time, I had no clue what a blessing it was that he had been placed in my life. Daniel and I connected immediately away, and I can only name a handful of individuals with whom I can truly share my heart, my secrets, and my fears. He never once judged me, either.
I’ve never seen somebody struggle more to LIVE, and it’s absolutely hard to believe that this day has come. He was the most resilient person I’ve ever encountered; even after receiving his initial cancer diagnosis, he never let anything stop him.
I consider myself incredibly lucky and thankful to have experienced practically every state in America with him, played on stage with him in front of countless spectators, and traveled the world with him. Throughout my turbulent career, he never betrayed me and always had my back. He had no fear, always acted like himself, and was unbreakable.
Please offer his family all the good vibes and prayers you can muster; they have certainly suffered a tremendous loss by losing someone so precious. I’m completely exhausted.
