When Mark took over the company in 1967, he changed its focus to selling collegiate gear, which was a huge success.
He expanded into additional enterprises, such as an internet store that sells UVA items internationally and an embroidery company.
Many devoted consumers flocked to Mark’s stores over the years because of the high quality goods, reasonable rates, and first-rate customer service they offered.
Mark was also involved in the Charlottesville community and a philanthropist.
He gave financial aid to underprivileged pupils and supported neighborhood groups like the Humane Society.
