He was also there during combat in eastern Ukraine in 2014 between Ukrainian forces and Russia-backed rebels. Thankfully, he had managed to escape the invasion in a town where hundreds of Ukrainian soldiers were slain.

Recently his majority of documentary efforts are on Ukraine’s war because “every Ukrainian photographer hopes of shooting a shot that would cease the war.”
