On Sunday evening, Darts Hero James Wade was rushed to a German hospital in Leverkusen to seek emergency medical assistance after feeling extremely unwell. He then pulled out before his semi-final match due to his health condition.
Wade has now released a statement confirming that he feels comfortable and recovering in the hospital. However, he remains under observation and is not ready to return home.

His wife Samatha stated, “Clearly we want our hero as quickly as possible but the medical staff has been amazing with James and he is extremely grateful for the care they have shown to him – we are taking their advice on when it will be safe for James to return home.”
She also added that James is desperate to make sure that he doesn’t let anyone down and is already talking about returning to the competitive action for people who have bought tickets. However, he still has to rest for some time for a full recovery.
