“Kay Adams has been a huge part of the success of Good Morning Football, and we plan to retain her in the NFL Media family for years to come,” NFL Media vice president of communications Alex Riethmiller told The Washington Post.

According to reports, Adams is the front-runner to host Thursday Night Football, broadcast on-site each week. However, the transaction is not yet complete.

On The Pat McAfee Show in January, she said that her contract with the NFL Network was coming to an end in May and that she wanted to be on a bigger stage.

Likewise, she has also told McAfee, “It’s no secret the goal is to have the pedigree to have a big-boy seat at the table.” Al Michaels and Kirk Herbstreit are currently on the Thursday Night Football broadcast team, and they will call the game.

After being broadcast on Fox, the NFL Network, and Amazon Prime Video for the previous few years, Amazon Prime Video has become the sole home of Thursday Night Football.

With Adams gone, Kyle Brandt and Peter Schrager will take over as hosts of Good Morning Football. According to the New York Post, Rachel Bonnetta could be a possibility to succeed Adams, but she would have to relocate.
