On February 7, a member of the alleged Young Slime Life gang, Christian Eppinger, shot Atlanta Police Officer David Rogers, an 11-year veteran of the force, six times.

Authorities have released surveillance footage from the incident that left Rogers fighting for his life.

Who Is YSL Member Christian Eppinger? – Everything To Know

Christian Eppinger is a 22-year-old member of the Young Slime Life (YSL). He was charged with shooting an Atlanta police.

Christian’s status as a first offender was removed after he shot an 11-year veteran of the Atlanta Police Department six times while being arrested.

On February 7, shortly before 1 p.m., Rogers traveled to Old Hapeville Road in Fulton County to arrest Eppinger for his suspected involvement in an armed robbery and aggravated assault case.

According to the arrest warrants, Eppinger pulled a weapon and began shooting at the officer multiple times, striking him six times, including four strikes to his right shoulder, one shot above his right knee, and one hit to the back right his head.

Eppinger stood in front of Fulton County Superior Court Judge Craig Schwall to receive his modified sentence.

Christian Eppinger Arrested Shooting Atlanta Officer

Officials in Atlanta have condemned a bond judgment issued this for an alleged gang member accused of shooting an Atlanta police officer six times.

Fani Willis, the Fulton County District Attorney, indicated that the suspected shooter, Christian Eppinger, will not be released, but was “disgusted” by the bond decision.

Eppinger was granted a $65,000 bond and ordered to wear an ankle monitor if he is released, according to court records.

APD hasn’t released any info about injuries or the officer shot but an 11Alive photographer said Mayor Andre Dickens left Grady hospital moments ago and he said “He’ll be okay.”

However, Eppinger will remain in custody because he is facing two distinct cases: he was arrested in 2016 following an armed robbery and spent four years in juvenile detention before being released on probation last year.

Willis said that after his release, he rejoined the Young Slime Life gang and committed multiple violent crimes, culminating in a February arrest attempt in which he allegedly shot Atlanta Officer David Rogers six times.

Christian Eppinger Jail Sentence And Mugshot

Christian Eppinger, 22, is still imprisoned in the Fulton County Prison, with no hope of being released, according to Willis.

He is a convicted criminal who is currently serving a 64-year term in jail.

Willis revealed that Eppinger was convicted of violent offenses, including armed robbery, when he was 16 years old and served four years in juvenile detention.

Last year, he was discharged and placed on probation. Willis claims Eppinger broke his probation by joining a street gang and committing armed robbery.

On February 8, 2022, authorities released a mugshot of Christian Eppinger, 22, who is accused of shooting an 11-year veteran of the Atlanta Police Department multiple times during an attempted arrest.
