Amazon Prime Video’s latest book-to-screen adaptation is just a few hours away.

We Were Liars, a summer-set thriller inspired by the bestselling young adult novel by E. Lockhart, arrives on Prime Video on Wednesday, June 18 — just in time for summer holidays.

Crafted by YA television icon Julie Plec (The Vampire Diaries) and developed alongside CW regular Carina Adly Mackenzie, We Were Liars trails the affluent Sinclairs as they spend their summers on an exclusive family island.

A year following a traumatic event that left her with memory loss, 17-year-old Cadence Sinclair returns to Beechwood in search of answers. While three generations of the esteemed family gather at their summer hideaway, no one mentions the accident — neither her childhood companions “The Liars” nor her first love, Gat — compelling her to uncover the truth on her own.
