A naturopathic doctor has revealed the top superfoods that everyone should add to their diet.
Dr. Janine Bowring, a naturopath based in Canada, who has over 25 years of clinical research under her belt, regularly shares her tips on TikTok.
She often uses the video-sharing platform to upload advice about longevity and staying healthy with her 1.1 million followers.
In a new video on TikTok, Dr. Bowring shared seven superfoods that ‘you should be eating daily for optimal wellness.’
‘Number one is seafood. Now seafood is loaded with the Omega 3 fatty acids, especially that DHA,’ she stated.
‘Number two on my list is apples. They contain quercetin which is an important antihistamine.
‘Number three on the list is seaweed. Seaweed also contains iodine, really important for metabolism.’
But the advice did not stop there as she continued: ‘Number four on my list – dark chocolate.’

Dark chocolate has numerous health benefits including that it is a powerful source of antioxidants, full of nutrients – including iron, fiber, and magnesium – and may reduce the risk for heart disease, per Healthline.
‘Number five on the list is cilantro. It has chlorophyll and this is going to help to trap or chelate heavy metals that could be in your system,’ she added.
‘Number six on the list – brazil nuts. They contain selenium another essential nutrient for your thyroid, for your metabolism.
‘Number seven, this one might surprise you – maybe not, I’ve got other videos on it – it’s eggs.
‘So eggs [are] fantastic. They contain choline great for our brains, great for our neurotransmitters. It’s a great source of protein.’
This is not the first time the expert has shared her expertise.
In another recent video, the naturopathy doctor explained how to bounce back after vacation.
This time she offered guidance for those who may be feeling a bit out of sorts from their holiday.

The first tip she offered was one that is essential – and that’s to stay hydrated.
‘Number one, you’re gonna drink lots of water,’ she said.
‘Just flush everything out through your kidneys, through your skin, increase your hydration,’ Dr. Bowring added.
Of course, water is essential to the human body and its detox systems, as the kidneys use water to flush out waste products.
Next on her list, the naturopath suggested cutting out both alcohol and sugar for a short period.
Per Healthline, cutting out alcohol for just 30 days can have a profound effect on your body and your overall health.
Not only can not drinking help reduce the risk of certain diseases, like cancer, it can also improve your sleep and encourage weight loss.
And, finally, she recommended taking some herbal medicines that will help you achieve a ‘full body detox.’
