Conservative CNN contributor Scott Jennings lashed out at Minnesota Governor Tim Walz after the Democrat alluded to the circulating theory that Donald Trump had passed away. ‘I’ll tell you who is a complete piece of [expletive]. I’ll tell you right now,’ a passionate Jennings declared on Tuesday’s episode of The Area with Kasey Hunt.

‘Tim Walz, the governor of Minnesota.’ Jennings mentioned Walz referencing the rumor that arose over the weekend regarding Trump’s absence from the public eye for four days, suggesting he might have died.

On Monday, Walz addressed a crowd in Duluth, Minnesota, hinting that this kind of day would eventually occur. ‘The last few days, you woke up thinking there might be news,’ Walz commented.
!['Just saying, just saying - there will be news, sometime. Just so you know, there will be news.' Members off the crowd laughed in response. 'I used to say [Walz] was the biggest buffoon in American politics, but it's worse now,' an irate Jennings told the CNN panel Tuesday.](https://i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2025/09/03/17/101804459-0-_Just_saying_just_saying_there_will_be_news_sometime_Just_so_you-a-243_1756915213725.jpg)
‘Just saying, just saying – there will be news, sometime. Just so you know, there will be news.’ The crowd laughed in response. ‘I used to think [Walz] was the biggest buffoon in American politics, but it’s even worse now,’ an angry Jennings told the CNN panel on Tuesday.

‘No political figure, no elected official, should be making remarks like, “Well, I’m hoping we wake up and the president of the United States has died.” ‘Crazy. Absolutely crazy.’

On Tuesday, the president was questioned about the rumors during an Oval Office press conference. ‘I knew they were saying: “Is he OK? How is he feeling? What’s wrong?”‘ Trump responded. ‘I was very active this Labor Day.’

On CNN Tuesday, Hunt went on to ask why Jennings had not posed the same question to Trump during a telephone interview he did with the president. ‘Well, because when he got on the phone and sounded very much alive, I thought it would sound kind of stupid, frankly, to ask an alive person if they were dead,’ Jennings said.

The rumors first surfaced Friday after multiple White House reporters observed the president had not been seen in public since Tuesday, August 26. Fueling the speculation was the fact Trump had announced no future events, as well as a JD Vance interview in which the vice president that he would be ready to step in for the president ‘if there’s a terrible tragedy.’

On Saturday. Trump was spotted at Trump National Golf Club in Virginia with his granddaughter, Kai. Photos of Trump’s bruised right hand and swollen ankles have raised questions about the president’s health.

An unflattering photo of Trump during his golf outing further fueled the speculation. On Sunday, Trump posted to Truth Social: ‘NEVER FELT BETTER IN MY LIFE.’
