Cruz Beckham has taken a significant step forward in his music career by announcing an upcoming tour across North America with his band, The Breakers.
At the age of 21, Cruz has already been making waves in the British music scene, having recently performed at The Courtyard Theatre in Hoxton on both Thursday and Friday nights. These performances are part of his ongoing efforts to promote his debut album.
Following these successful shows, Cruz reached out to fans via Instagram with exciting news: he and The Breakers are preparing to take their music overseas to the U.S. and Canada.
In an enthusiastic video message, Cruz expressed, “Hello fellow Breakers. We are very happy and proud to announce the second leg of the For Your Love tour.”
He invited fans to join them, saying, “We’re coming to America and Canada. We’re excited to see you there so get your tickets now.”
The North American leg of the tour is set to kick off on July 28 in Washington D.C., before moving on to major cities including Brooklyn, Toronto, Chicago, Minneapolis, and Seattle.
Cruz Beckham has announced he is heading on a tour of North America with his band The Breakers
He will also perform in Portland, San Francisco and Los Angeles before returning to England for more gigs.
It comes after Cruz became emotional on stage during a gig on Tuesday while performing his group’s new song Loneliest Boy – understood to be filled with barely veiled references to his wayward brother Brooklyn’s continued absence.
With brother Romeo and supportive parents David and Victoria Beckham watching from the audience, Cruz faltered over the song’s plaintive lyrics, prompting band-member Dan Ewins to drape a reassuring arm across his shoulders.
Emotions appeared to run high as the tearful singer wiped his eyes with a baggy shirt-sleeve while delivering the track’s chorus, which features the telling lyrics, ‘Loneliest boy, mama don’t talk too much, it’s breaking her heart.’
Earlier this month, older brother Brooklyn dealt another blow to his devastated parents as he failed to mention Victoria on Mother’s Day, though praised his mother-in-law on social media.
Looking on from their seats at the tiny east London venue, his family members were visibly moved by the performance, with Romeo seen wiping away a tear as he looked up at the stage.
One concert-goer told The Mirror: ‘At one point during the song, he seemed overcome with emotion as his bandmate put his arm around his shoulder and affectionately ruffled his hair.’
Fans have been left convinced that the song is about Brooklyn’s widening estrangement from his family.
The singer, 21, has been touring Britain ahead of the release of his his debut album and on Thursday evening he lit up The Courtyard Theatre in Hoxton
Additional lyrics read: ‘It shows in the small things that you don’t do, I guess in the end that it’s you, yourself, and you. Tell me how do you live, when you’ve got nobody to lose?
‘Loneliest boy, place all your bets on him, To find something bad in somebody good, he always does, Loneliest boy, I hope that you’re listening, Don’t push all your friends away, when we’re tryna show you love.’
Elsewhere, the chorus reads: ‘So tell me you’re scared, and that you need someone to hold. Cause you’re in the room but really, does it even show?
‘But, why can’t they see that you’re a million miles away, They’ll never know, when you look so close.’
In January, Brooklyn released an explosive six-page statement featuring lurid allegations about his family, notably the astonishing claim that Victoria usurped his first wedding dance with wife Nicola Peltz.
Taking to Instagram, the cooking influencer shared a photo of himself alongside Claudia Heffner Peltz and his wife Nicola, with the accompanying caption: ‘Happy birthday to the best mother-in-law. Love u so much and hope u had the most amazing day.’
With Claudia’s birthday falling on March 12 – three days earlier – it seemed a particularly calculated move.
An insider told ET that Brooklyn wants to put an end to any attempt from his parents to contact him, including on social media, following their bitter falling out.
Earlier this week, an emotional Cruz struggled to hold back tears while performing a song widely thought to be about his brother Brooklyn’ family estrangement (pictured in 2023)
Victoria, David, and his brothers Romeo and Cruz all shared heartfelt posts honouring his 27th birthday, but they were apparently unappreciated.
A source told the publication: ‘Brooklyn and Nicola are disheartened they chose to make public Instagram posts for his birthday.
‘These are the exact type of performative public actions that Brooklyn has been trying to put an end to, to no avail.
‘Last summer they issued a legal letter to his parents requesting that any correspondence go through lawyers.’
Instead, Brooklyn spent the day with Nicola who shared a video of her husband blowing out his candles on a box of doughnuts.
The influencer only took to Instagram during the day to thank his wife for her gushing social media post, brushing aside his family’s olive branch.
He was given another opportunity to reconnect with his estranged family after his parents attempted to build bridges by sharing a series of birthday tributes.
But while he failed to acknowledge their nostalgic throwback photos, birthday messages and repeated use of his affectionate nickname – Buster – he wasted no time in responding to Nicola.
The most recent reports suggest Brooklyn is on speaking terms with his grandfather Ted and his wife Hilary, even though he remains estranged from his parents.
He is understood to be in regular contact with them.
