On Thursday, March 17, The body of a lady identified as Audreona Barnes who was reported missing eight months ago was discovered on the balcony of her former boyfriend’s apartment.

Reports say Audreona was last seen on July 30, 2021. She spoke with her family for the last time by phone that day before disappearing.

Following her death, her partner, Bennie Washington, 39, has been charged with aggravated murder and gross abuse of a body, according to Cleveland.com.

Barnes’ body was discovered on the balcony of his previous apartment on Warner Road, in Cleveland’s Broadway-Slavic Village neighborhood, where he had been evicted in March.

Ms Barnes’ corpse was discovered on a balcony behind a mound of garments and blankets by a cleaning, who alerted the cops.

According to investigators, the body appeared to have been purposely left outside to hasten decomposition.

According to court filings, Ms Barnes was shot in the head, and detectives discovered shell casings near her corpse as well as a gunshot hole in an apartment wall.
