Information reaching our news desk has it that popular American country music songwriter, singer, instrumentalist, novelist, and short-story writer, Tom Hall has sadly passed at the age of 85. Mr Tom was reported to have died on August 20 2020. Circumstances surrounding his death was not disclosed to the public.
Born in Olive Hill, Kentucky, the United States, Hall as a teenager formed a band called the Kentucky Travelers that performed before movies for a travelling theatre. During a stint in the Army, Hall performed over the Armed Forces Radio Network, Halld wrote comic songs about Army experiences.
Following his time in the army, he used the G.I. Bill program to enrol at Roanoke College, where he worked as a disc jockey. His early career included being a radio announcer at WRON, a local radio station in Ronceverte, West Virginia.
