Natalie Bassingthwaighte and her partner Pip Loth are now engaged.

The Australian singer, 50, proposed to her girlfriend during a romantic outing at Niagara Falls in Canada. 

The happy couple announced the news with a very sweet Instagram video on Saturday morning.

Natalie began the clip with footage of Canadian actor and singer Noah Reid on stage singing a cover of Simply The Best by Tina Turner. 

He dedicated the song to Natalie and Pip, who had just gotten engaged hours earlier.

The footage then cut to the moment Natalie popped the question, with Pip first being handed a note from a woman sitting at a typewriter.

Natalie then got down on both knees, smiling and laughing with Pip as she showed her love the engagement ring she had purchased.  

Pip happily said yes, with the couple then embracing with a passionate kiss as onlookers walked past.

‘Just a little casual proposal… it was me, I got proposed to!’ Pip said near the end of the video as she showed off her thick-banded silver ring.

Natalie captioned the heart-warming video with a number of emojis, including a rainbow and engagement ring, as she wrote: ‘So grateful.’ 

The news was also shared by K’DOR in Double Bay, who designed the engagement ring, posting a photo of the pair to Instagram.

‘Congratulations to our gorgeous K’DOR couple on the announcement of their engagement,’ the company wrote alongside the picture. 

Natalie’s famous friends flocked to the comments of the initial announcement to share their well wishes. 

‘Congratulations,’ wrote Dannii Minogue.

Natalie split with her former Rogue Traders bandmate Cameron McGlinchey in 2023 after 12 years of marriage.

She revealed her new relationship with Pip in April the following year.

Natalie shares two children—Harper, 14, and Hendrix, 11—with her former husband.

The speculation about a secret wedding arose when Natalie and Pip posted a romantic picture wearing white, leading fans to believe they had tied the knot in May.

The Neighbours star donned an elegant sleeveless dress in a chiffon-like material for the photo.

She looked regal as she paired the ensemble with some impressive diamond earrings and swept her golden locks up in a messy bun.

Her partner decided on a white suit for the occasion, which many assumed meant wedding bells for the two.

The caption didn’t help when it came to fuelling marriage speculation.

‘Doing this life with you my [heart],’ Natalie captioned the post, while tagging Pip.

She added: ‘Thanks for putting [on] the most beautiful event @thecalilehotel @zenakdor we adore you.’

Fans flooded the post with love for the couple, with one writing: ‘Beautiful. Wishing you all the love.’

Another wrote, ‘Total cuties, you two,’ while some questioned if the pair had wed.

However, it was later revealed that the pair were attending a House of K’Dor event, a diamond and gemstone boutique, which required them to dress in all white.
