A migrant in Montreal, Canada, has claimed that he is being racially targeted after receiving a fine for launching a sexist and aggressive verbal attack on a police officer. The individual, 24-year-old Mohamed Bekkali, recorded himself during a traffic stop where he directed offensive language towards a female officer, including a demeaning comment about purchasing her as a slave.

During the incident, which reportedly occurred in June 2025 when Bekkali was pulled over for driving with tinted windows, he unleashed a series of expletive-laden insults at the officer, calling her derogatory names. These remarks were part of a video he posted on his now-deleted TikTok account.

The footage didn’t stop there. Bekkali also recorded himself insulting two other officers. He taunted a male officer with crude comments about the officer’s family, continuing his tirade with vile remarks aimed at the police.

As a result of his outburst, Bekkali was fined $228, according to reports by Canadian news outlet La Presse. The incident has sparked discussions about the boundaries of free speech and the implications of using social media to spread harmful rhetoric.

‘That son of a b***h, bald piece of s***, son of a b***h, motherf***er, that I probably f***ed his sister,’ he screamed down a street at the officers.

Bekkali was fined $228 for his rant at the female police officer, according to Canadian outlet La Presse.

After the videos circulated social media and sparked outrage across Canada, Bekkali claimed in another video that he was the victim of ‘social and socio-profiling.’

In his clip defending himself, which was deleted, Bekkali said he berated the police officers because he dislikes police, and said the ‘problem has never been the sex of the officer.’

Bekkali filmed himself ranting at a female cop, telling her: 'If I want, I'll buy you and make you my slave... Filthy f***ing w***e, shut your f***ing mouth, with your b***h face'

Bekkali said in his video defending his actions that he was targeting police because of his hatred of law enforcement, saying he ‘puts both male and female police officers in their place.’

‘The problem is a police force riddled with abuse, arrogance and incompetence, to the point of pushing perfectly normal, honest citizens to their breaking point,’ he said, according to Journal De Quebec.

Bekkali is reported by Canadian news outlets to be a ‘migrant’, however it is unclear where he is originally from or what his status in Canada is.

In his social media spree defending himself, Bekkali claimed he was being unfairly targeted and scrutinized for the clips, saying he is ‘arrested every day’ for ‘reasons that are more outlandish than the next.’

His foul-mouthed rants at the police officers are not Bekkali’s only run in with the law in Canada, according to the Journal.

The outlet cited Canadian records that showed Bekkali has received at least four driving tickets in the past three years, including speeding at 55mph in a 30mph zone.

He was also caught driving 34mph in a 20mph zone and 63mph in a 40mph zone.

In 2020, he also pleaded guilty to using forged documents to commit a crime, and received an absolute discharge – meaning he admitted guilt but received no penalty, reported La Presse.

Bekkali was fined $288 for his on-camera tirade at the cop, which was reportedly far from his only brush with the law in Canada

Bekkali’s abuse of the female cop in June 2025 resurfaced in recent weeks, leading the migrant to release his clip defending himself.

Alongside defending himself on social media, Bekkali also briefly appeared on broadcaster Remi Villemure’s 995 Montreal radio show, where he again said he believed he was the victim of ‘racial profiling.’

He told the host that he is constantly harassed by police because of his appearance, and said he did not understand slang from ‘Quebecers’ – meaning people from Quebec.

The Montreal Police Service said he was not fined at the time of his rant at the female police officer, but after review the department said Monday he was hit with a $228 penalty for his ‘misogynistic and degrading’ remarks.

This week, Canadian attorney Vicky Powell also filed a police complaint against Bekkali after she alleged he threatened her during a live stream online.

She said she told Bekkali he ‘can’t talk to women like that’ in reference to the clip of him abusing the police officer, leading him to allegedly threaten her.

She says he told her: ‘All the guys who talked s*** about me ended up badly. You’re here, you think you’re a lawyer, nothing’s going to happen to you?’

The saga led Montreal lawmakers and authorities to call for new laws on insulting and shouting at police officers in the performance of their duties, which is not currently directly against the law in the province.

The Quebec Federation of Municipal Police Officers (FPMQ) cited Bekkali in a statement calling for a new framework to apply to municipal police forces across the nation.

‘It is completely unacceptable that in Quebec we tolerate acts of verbal violence against peace officers. It is essential to establish legal limits everywhere, beyond which there are consequences,’ said François Lemay, president of the FPMQ.
