A student from Utah Valley University reported seeing a man on the roof of the building where a sniper fatally shot Charlie Kirk weeks before the incident took place.
The student, who did not provide their name, mentioned that they observed a man twice in the last two weeks either on or near the roof of the Losee Center, overlooking the courtyard where Kirk’s event was hosted on Tuesday.
He admitted that, while he wasn’t certain, photographs released of the suspected shooter ‘looked familiar.’
The student described the individual on the roof as a “tall, slender white man with dark hair, carrying a backpack and dressed in dark clothing.”
‘It was weird,’ he told CNN, noting that seeing someone on that part of the Losee Center was not typical.
His final sighting of the person on the roof happened at noon on Wednesday, six days before Kirk was brutally killed.
Following the incident, the student shared their observations with the FBI through a tipline but has yet to receive a response. The Daily Mail has reached out to the FBI for further comments.
He also revealed that a professor at the school and seen the man on the roof and tried to question him, asking: ‘Hey man, are you doing alright?’

A student from Utah Valley University informed the FBI about seeing a man on the roof of the building where a sniper later killed Charlie Kirk weeks before the fatal event occurred.

The unidentified student indicated that a man was seen on or near the roof of the Losee Center twice in recent weeks, looking down at the courtyard where Kirk held his event on Tuesday.
The man on the roof ‘just kind of dismissed what he said.’
It comes as newly-released surveillance footage shows the gunman who fatally shot Charlie Kirk jumping off the roof and escaping in the moments after opening fire.
In the footage, the suspect could be seen running across the roof of the Lossee Center at Utah Valley University.
Once he reaches the edge, the suspect could then be seen climbing down and jumping onto the ground – leaving behind a palm print and a shoe print.
He then runs from the building and starts strolling with the crowd as he casually walks toward a street at the edge of campus, where police say he ducked into a wooded area, from where investigators have found a high-powered rifle.
The suspect then apparently fled into a residential neighborhood.
But Beau Mason, the head of Utah’s Department Public Safety, said officials ‘have no idea’ about the suspect’s identity or where he may be located.
‘We’re exploring leads for individuals that live close by,’ Mason told NBC News.

‘We literally have persons of interest, tips coming in on the tip line that are spanning far and wide.’
It had earlier been reported that officials had the name of the suspect, but were not releasing it to the public.
The Utah Dept. of Public Safety has released additional images of the person of interest in Charlie Kirk’s assassination.
They show the suspect wearing a dark, long sleeved shirt with an American flag on the chest, a gray baseball cap and sunglasses.
He also carried a black backpack as he went up and down the stairs.
Authorities are now asking the public to be on the lookout for the suspect, noting he had a distinctive t-shirt and a baseball cap with a triangle on it.
‘We cannot do our job without the public’s help right now,’ Utah Gov. Spencer Cox said at a news conference Thursday night, adding that authorities have already received over 7,000 tips and have conducted more than 200 interviews.
The chaos continues just a day after conservative activist Charlie Kirk, 31, was fatally shot at Utah Valley University.
