What happened to Mark Kriski ? Here is the update regarding his illness and retirement in 2021.

Mark Kriski is a Canadian born in Novia Scotia of Polish descent who served as a DJ on Victoria, British Columbia’s Q-100 FM, and Montreal’s 980 AM. He also served as a weatherman on Canada’s The Weather Network. He is currently a weathercaster for KTLA.

For nearly 3 decades, he has been a fixture at KTLA. Apparently, he was seen on the “KTLA Morning News” five hours a day. Besides being a weathercaster, he has also worked as a professional ring announcer and commercial voice-over/imaging.

Along with 8 Emmy Awards, Mark has also won Associated Press Television and Radio award, PromaxBDA Gold, and National Commercial Clio Award. Further, he has also earned 3 Golden Mike Awards for Best Weather Segment from the Radio & Television News Association.

After completing his studies on radio and television arts at Fanshawe College in London, Ontario, he became a radio disc jockey at various stations in Canada.

Divorced from his then-wife Samantha Lewis, owner of Digital Playground, in 2009, he announced his engagement o KTLA colleague Jennifer Gould on 18 May 2011 and married on September 24, 2011.

What Happened To Mark Kriski?

Rumors of Mark Kriski being ill float on the internet. So, what really happened to him?

Apparently, in November 2010, he took sick leave for two months to get professional help from doctors due to viral pneumonia. Aside from that, nothing concerning has been reported. And despite that, rumors persisted.

However, Mark’s wife cleared the air regarding the rumors on 27 August 2020. It seems he suffered a concussion after hitting his head during a fall.

Further, he thanked Dr. Lanman and the surgical team at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles for a successful 3-level artificial disc replacement surgery in 2020.

Besides these incidents, nothing particular has been reported.
