Daniel Politte, the husband of Stephanie Krick, was found guilty of the murder of his wife. It has been five years since the court charged him for his acts. Where is he now?

Authorities arrived at the Politte home in Missouri City, Texas, after receiving a 911 call and discovered Stephanie Politte on the bedroom floor with a gun nearby.

As the authorities investigated, they discovered contradictions in her husband’s narrative, making him the primary suspect. ‘American Monster: Stage Fright,’ a show on Investigation Discovery, tells the story of little Stephanie’s death.

    Who Is Daniel Politte?

Daniel, age 37, is reported as the nan behind his wife, Stephanie Kirkpatrick.

Politte first said he couldn’t recall what happened but later changed his mind and stated Stephanie was depressed and had taken up the pistol to kill herself.

Politte was convicted of murder by a jury and sentenced to 85 years in prison.

However, forensic investigators determined that Stephanie’s cheek was on the pillow when she was shot in the head, indicating that she was asleep and there had been no struggle. Investigators also determined that she was fired from a distance of 12 to 15 inches.

The detectives suspect Politte was having an extramarital affair and had even exchanged texts with his lover on the night of the murder. Still, no apparent cause for the murder has ever been uncovered.

    Stephanie Kirkpatrick Murder Case Update

Daniel contacted 911 on March 11, 2014, to say that Stephanie Kirkpatrick had vomited blood and was drowning in it.

The dispatcher instructed Daniel to transfer his wife from the bed to the floor and begin CPR. Stephanie was half-clothed on the floor when the cops came.

She was no longer alive at that point. However, the paramedics on the site observed that she had a gunshot wound to the back of her skull, which Daniel had not revealed in the 911 call. A weapon was discovered nearby.

The cops also discovered a photo of Stephanie asleep in the same posture. It took around twenty minutes before the 911 call was made. Later, Daniel phoned Stephanie’s father, Neil, but he revised his narrative this time.

He informed Neil that the gun may have discharged when he tripped over some shoes at the room’s threshold.

According to the cinemaholic, the authorities also discovered that Daniel had resigned from his job and returned to college but was struggling with his classes. Stephanie was the primary breadwinner at the time, and they suspected there was tension in the marriage.

    Where Is Daniel Politte Now?

Daniel Politte, who was 32, went on trial in October 2016. The defense attempted to claim that the shooting was unintentional.

They said Stephanie was sad, drunk, and planning to commit suicide, but Daniel intervened. The prosecution argued that Daniel gave contradictory stories of what transpired that night and lied.

He was convicted of murder by a jury and sentenced to 85 years in prison in November 2016. According to the authorities, Daniel had a girlfriend, and there was proof of them talking on the night of the murder.

According to prison records, he is being held at the W. J. “Jim” Estelle Unit in Huntsville, Texas. Daniel will be able to apply for parole in 2046.
